Some Final Words on Business Writing

Nearly every writer confronts moments of black despair when it seems there is absolutely no solution to a particular writing problem. If that happens to you, take a break. Work on something else for a while to give your head a chance to clear. Often having a little distance from a writing problem will help you come up with a solution.

If you don’t have the luxury of a break, press on. Don’t panic — just keep crossing out words, rearranging ideas, adding new content, and so on, and eventually something will hit you. The key is to keep trying. Remember: what separates good writers from weaker writers is often little more than hard work.
