While this book addresses many key presentation concepts, it cannot replace practice. Fortunately, opportunities for presentation practice abound. In fact, any time you speak to someone, or to a group of people, you are giving a kind of presentation. So don’t wait until your next business meeting or keynote address to practice presenting well!
Practice when you’re out to dinner with friends, when you’re at home with your family, when a stranger asks you for directions. Practice when you speak to your neighbors or your doorman, or when you call up the salesperson at your favorite shop.
The more accustomed you are to communicating effectively in your personal life, the more likely you will be to communicate effectively when your business success depends on it.
